Dickinson Campaign Holds Press Conference on St. Paul Budget St. Paul, MN – Friday, August 12, 2005 – Elizabeth Dickinson will hold a press conference this coming Monday, August 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Southeast Entrance to the Xcel Energy Center, to discuss Mayor Randy Kelly's recently-released 2006 St. Paul budget plan. Her remarks will include a critique of specific sections of the budget and proposals for their improvement, as well as an appraisal of the budget's overall effectiveness as a forward-looking document — one promoting a meaningful vision for the city. Specific areas of discussion will include the proposed property tax and fee increases, the addition of police and the mayor's remarks about the MS-13 or Mara Salvatrucha gang, and renegotiation of the Xcel Energy franchise.
